I know it has been a little while since I last posted, and there is good reason for it. I thought this exact topic would be a great one to discuss because I am sure it hits home for many of us, but still, it is stigmatized.

This year was my first year teaching, and when I say first year, I mean that I was a maternity substitute for the fall semester and accepted my current position maybe a week after that maternity leave was over. Many people tell me how they don't envy me for starting halfway through the school year. I don't envy me either.
Last night, I went to bed feeling excited about this new blog that I have created. I did not think that it would have such a positive response from colleagues already, considering how new of a teacher I am. I received a lot of positive feedback from fellow teachers.
